Aaron & Jocelyn | Winter Portrait Session

What started as a fun idea turned into one of my favorite sessions ever! I am so thankful for these two for braving the cold and the weird looks from people watching us taking portraits in public. We met at LL Bean in Freeport at their beautiful Northern Lights tree display. It felt like being in a sea of twinkling Christmas lights!

Anyone who has tried photographing in dim lighting knows it comes with its own set of challenges. I am thankful for their session because it really tested my abilities as a photographer! I encourage everyone to push their boundaries a bit and try something new. The results will surprise you!

We had so much fun exploring different areas of Freeport. Regular “warm-up” breaks inside were a necessity though! Aaron and Jocelyn were total naturals in front of the camera. I have known Jocelyn since we were still in single digits and after so many years, it gave me the warm and fuzzies to see her this happy! There were numerous people that stopped us to ask if we were taking engagement pictures! Maybe that’s a sign ;)

Enjoy the shots from Aaron and Jocelyn’s session below. Looking at them has me in the Christmas spirit and I hope you feel the same way!

Seamus & Brinley | Coastal Maine Senior Session

I had such a fun evening with these two for their senior session! Seamus and Brinley are so cute, and totally nailed everything I asked them to do. I love seeing people loosen up in front of the camera and really start to enjoy the experience! We explored a little island in South Bristol with stunning views and so many great locations for portraits.
Keep scrolling to see the photos from their session! Good luck Seamus and Brinley - enjoy your senior year!

Olivia & Treetop Flyer | Class of 2018

As a follow-up to Emma's blog last week, here is Olivia's senior session that we did the same morning! It was a balmy 90 degrees at the end of September, but you would never know by these photos! Livy and her mare Cypress rocked their session in the heat.
I am so happy to see how far these two have come, and I can't wait to see where the next year takes you, Livy! Congratulations on making it to your senior year!

Emma & Clary's Aurora Glee | Class of 2018

I love senior sessions, and I love them even more when I get to photograph girl's I've known for over 10 years! Even though it makes me feel old...
Emma and I kept it simple, doing her photos at Hundred Acre Wood, the barn we have both ridden at for years! With so many memories, it really was the perfect place to have her senior photos done. She included her Connemara pony, Glee, who was born and raised on the farm. Glee was not a fan of having her picture taken but eventually came around with the help of some horse sounds playing on YouTube!
Congratulations on your senior year, Emma! I can't wait to see where life takes you!

Zak & Brianna | Spruce Point Inn Wedding

Bri and I went to visit their venue the weekend before their wedding. It was a dreary, foggy day, but despite the weather, I could tell that Spruce Point Inn would be a gorgeous place for them to get married! Luckily on their special day, it ended up being absolutely perfect weather. There was a clear view of the water overlooking their ceremony, and we were able to sneak down to the dock as the sun was setting. Bride and groom portraits are always one of my favorite parts of the day - it allows the couple a chance to take a moment and take in everything that just happened! The rest of the evening was a blast, and I am so happy I was able to be a part of their wedding day.
Congratulations, Zak and Brianna!
