My name is Melissa. I am a wedding and portrait photographer from a small town in Maine. Ever since I picked up my first camera at age thirteen, I got started and never looked back. I have put thousands of miles on my truck, traveling all over the state and photographing everything from weddings to senior portraits!

hello there!

MEEt melissa

So, you've gotten this far and may be wondering WHO is this girl behind the camera? Scroll through using the arrows below to find out more about my life and some of my favorite things!

My fiance, Brad, and I got engaged in January of 2018 on our four year anniversary! We are in the process of building our first house after years of planning. It's equal parts wonderful and totally stressful, and I can't wait!

My dog, Bo, is a southern boy who I rescued in the fall of 2015. He is a "Mississippi mutt" and a total weirdo who loves sleeping and eating things he shouldn't. The story of how I rescued Bo will be on the blog shortly. Stay tuned!

While most girls dream of a brand new fancy sportscar, I always dreamed of owning a truck. The day I traded in my reliable little Toyota Camry for a shiny black GMC Sierra, I actually cried! Nothing is better than driving around Maine, listening to old school country music on the radio.

Give me a white Monster or a Diet Coke and I'm happy! Of course, being from Maine means that Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee is neccessity, even when it is below zero.

The TV show Friends has been on repeat almost every day of my life, and to this day the full series DVD set remains the best Christmas gift I have ever gotten.

Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started riding when I was only 5 years old and haven't stopped since! Right now, I own a Saddlebred/Draft cross named Lace. She is a complete love bug and we compete throughout New England together during the summer and fall!
