Isabelle G. & Missy | Waldoboro Senior Session

Isabelle was a total natural for her senior session. Her horse, Missy, on the other hand was not as into it as we were. As a veteran MGP senior photo model, Missy knows the drill and requires extra treats when it comes to cooperating. You may recognize her from Jessica's senior session back in 2013 and multiple Melissa Gebert Photography business cards!
Isabelle and Missy are such a great pair together and it was so much fun to get to take Isabelle's senior photos. Enjoy the images!

A special thank you to Pam of Hoof Pix Farm for letting us use her beautiful property!

The Power of Saying No

This over halfway through this year and I can already say without hesitation that it has been crazy. Throughout everything, I learned an important lesson that I want to share with all of you.

Learn when to say no.

After 22 years, it feels odd to learn something that I never knew about myself. I quickly realized that I have a very hard time knowing when to say the word "no"! Every single opportunity that comes my way, I will jump in with both feet and go for it. I felt that if I wasn't busy every second, I wasn't accomplishing anything.

By springtime, I had so much on my plate that I realized I didn't have time to even stop and take a breath. It took a while, but this realization has begun to change my perspective on how I want to spend my time.

We all have the same 24 hours in a day, and the happiest people spend it doing what they love. Sometimes happiness means putting the phone on silent, laying on the couch, and binge watching Family Guy. Make time for what is important and allow yourself to find the balance between moving forward and enjoying the moment. Take care of yourself, and you will be able to take care of others.

Kennebunkport Equine Session | Maine Equestrian Photographer

"This is so FUN!" was a common phrase during my shoot with this group. I definitely have to agree! These guys were total naturals at modeling and seemed to love every second of it. Dover Saddlery could be calling any second now ;)

Chris & Renee | Rockport Maine Engagement Session

This engagement session was a bit of a sentimental one for me. About five years ago, I worked at good old Hannaford Supermarket, bagging groceries and taking names. It was a typical first job, but I have plenty of good memories from that phase of my life. It was during that time that I got to meet Chris and Renee, and at the same time, Chris and Renee met each other! I still remember hearing they were finally dating and being SO excited!

Years have passed since then and I have gotten the opportunity to watch their relationship blossom! Their wedding date is in only seven months and I couldn't be more excited. Enjoy the photos from their engagement session in Rockport below!

Thank you to the Vesper Hill Children's Chapel and Rockport Marine Park for such gorgeous locations.

We headed to Pemaquid Beach in New Harbor, Maine on a chilly April evening. Pemaquid is one of my favorite locations to shoot at! I am totally obsessed with the photos of these two.
