I am a photographer, wife and dog mom from a small town in Maine. I love ponies, big trucks and sleeping in.
Ever since I was a little kid, I was starting projects and creating businesses. I picked up my first (Sesame Street) camera when I was 2. My mom likes to remind me about the time I when I was 7 and wanted to open a doggy daycare, but she said no to that idea because she didn't want to have to be the one watching them all. The doggy daycare dream faded away quickly, but the photography seemed to linger. I grew up riding horses and every day during the summer was spent at the barn with my friends, having ridiculous photoshoots that we would plaster all over Facebook.
I don't know where the wedding photographer thing came from, but 4 years ago it began and hasn't stopped since. It feels like something I was meant to do, because I can't think of how in the world my life would've led me here. It makes sense, because my favorite thing is relationships. Relationships between couples, between people and their animals or even relationships between people and their passions. So for me, weddings aren't pretty details and expensive events. They are about capturing a moment where the relationship between two people is at it's most meaningful.
