June 24th, 2023 was one for the books. I traveled by ferry to Chebeague Island (just off the coast of Yarmouth) to photograph Kia and Aidan’s wedding day. After meeting them for their engagement session the summer before, I knew just how naturally happy and in love they are. Their wedding was no different.
Early summer in Maine was one of the rainiest on record and their Saturday kept up with the trend. It drizzled on and off throughout the day, bringing their ceremony inside the Chebeague Island Inn. A break in the rain allowed us some portraits on the front lawn with a beautiful view of Casco Bay!
An important part of Kia and Aidan’s celebration was the focus they put on being present during their wedding day. These types of weddings allow me as a photographer to truly document things as they unfold and it was wonderful to see them embrace it. I am a huge advocate for living in the moment and letting things unfold naturally!
