"Melissa was wonderful! She came all the way down to NC for mine and Dwights wedding. She captured such great moments. It was an amazing weekend!! We felt it was only fitting to have a great photographer from Maine! Thank you Melissa!"
"Melissa and I have been long time friends and when I got to thinking about wedding photographers, I knew exactly who to go with! I have seen Melissa's work since infancy and her eye for detail and perfection has only gotten better! The overall experience of picture taking was very natural and carefree with her, I never once felt awkward (or more awkward tgan normal I should say) and she knew exactly how to coach me and my husband for the best pictures. I know her work will take her far and she knows exactly how to capture the perfect moment. 5 stars!!!"
Oh my goodness, it feels like I have been waiting YEARS for this blog post to finally be written! I met Chris and Renee when the three of us worked together at our local grocery store, back in the day. In fact, I even remember the workplace excitement when they FINALLY started dating! Having watched their relationship begin and evolve over the years made capturing this wedding even more meaningful to me.
December 30th, 2017 fell in the middle of the brutal cold snap we are having in New England. Their wedding day was 10 degrees at the most. Even though the venue was nice and warm, Chris and Renee were brave enough to sneak outside for portraits. Not just once, but twice!
Renee did an AMAZING job with all the wedding details. The hot chocolate bar was a huge hit! Keep scrolling to see all the gorgeous photos from their big day. Congratulations, you two!
Reading my 2017 goal blog feels SO weird after all that has happened this year. A lot can change in 365 days. If you want to read that post, click here! To be honest, a couple of those things didn't happen. But what did happen feels even better. It was a crazy, busy year and I have no doubts that 2018 will be the same.
One important thing I learned from this past year was to schedule time for myself. Even during the busy season, there is no shame in taking a weekend for YO. DAMN. SELF. I felt totally out of breath from July to October and it was rewarding, but exhausting!
I also learned that sometimes things don't work out the way you think they will, and that is okay. The journey to building a house has been a long, difficult one and on more than one occasion, we have wanted to give up and take an easier route. Things finally seem to be heading in the right direction and I am planning on writing my 2018 recap in our OWN home!
Oh, and that working out and eating healthy thing? Still working on it...
As for this upcoming year, I have plenty of exciting things that I am working on and lots of big goals to accomplish! Go hard or go home, guys.
What are your 2018 goals? Leave a comment and tell me all about them!
