Getting The Most Out Of 2016

I'm not sure what it is, but I just have a feeling that 2016 is going to be a GREAT year. This past year has had its fair share of ups and downs, but I am determined to make the next year one to remember. I know, every December 31st people say the same thing. New Years resolutions last about two weeks and then everyone is back to their same old habits. There are a few things I've found helped me accomplish my goals and will definitely be coming into practice more regularly in 2016.

WAKE UP! I love sleeping. Like, its probably one of my favorite activities. The downfall is that sleeping too much makes me feel even more tired and unmotivated. Whenever I wake up earlier, I feel like I have more opportunity to pull my day together. My goal for the new year is to set my alarm for around 6-7AM and actually wake up instead of hitting snooze for two hours.

PLAN IT OUT Writing down your plans for the day helps a ton. I'm a big to-do list person, but as much as I love making the list, I don't love actually accomplishing the things on that list. This next year I want to write out my goals for the day and actually get the to-do lists DONE.

WRITE IT DOWN Along with making to-do lists, I find writing down my thoughts helps tremendously. Although I'm not a big fan of journaling, I do have a notebook that I keep with tons of lists, plans, ideas, and basically anything else my mind comes up with. It helps me to write everything down, evaluate all my options and come up with new ideas!

MAKE GOALS Everyone has goals but very few actually make those goals a reality. Sometimes those goals seem too far out of reach and become too overwhelming. I am completely guilty of this. I have found that it helps SO much to write down your goals, and then figure out all the small steps you need to do to actually accomplish it. It makes it less scary and way more mentally manageable.

These are just a few of the things I'll be putting into practice in 2016. How do you plan on making this next year better?
